This recipes makes a LOT! You’re going to need a large blender to get in all in.

Our smoothie master, Geoff, recommends that you put all of the fruit in the blender first, and get it blended down pretty well, in order to make room for the kale.

This recipe also makes 6 servings so you might want to share with friends.

Mellow Green Smoothie

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium cantaloupe
  • 1/2 small pineapple
  • 2 small pears
  • 1 small apple
  • 4 cups kale
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 2 cups plant-based milk we used cashew milk

Instructions

  • Because of the number of ingredients in this smoothie, you'll need to blend this in stages.
  • Add the fruit and some of the plant-based milk and blend until the ingredients are reduced enough so there is room to add the kale.
  • Add the kale (you may have to add some – blend – and some more – and blend again.)
  • Add the turmeric and the rest of the milk and blend until smooth.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Any leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours or you can freeze for later use.
